Rainbow Group Holiday 5 August 2023 to 12 August 2023
Qnews, Barrow & Bear Travel and the OUTexploring volunteers are looking forward to seeing you onboard the Pacific Encounter.
Here is a list of planned activities for our large group. Most are included in your OUTPASS.
Other than the Welcome Party, sponsored by P&O, drinks are always at your own expense).
Please be aware that the following activities and locations are subject to P&O approval and confirmation.
The date, time and venue may change before we depart on the 5th of August 2023.
Day 1 – Brisbane – Sail Away
Welcome Party 5:00pm to 6:30pm at Altitude, Deck 18
Complimentary Drinks, sponsored by P&O will be served between 5:15pm and 6:15pm.
Come and meet everyone in the group and collect your welcome pack from the Rainbow Group Holiday Sponsors.
Evening Drinks 6:30pm to 7:30pm at The Encounter Hotel, Deck 7 (non-exclusive venue)
Group Dinner 7:30pm to 8:30pm at Angelo’s, Deck 6
We encourage you to attend this first dinner to meet everyone in our LGBTIQ group and perhaps make a few new friends.
Day 2 – Sea Day – Formal Night
Information Desk 9:30am to 10:00am at the Library, Deck 5
Each morning, one of our volunteers will be available to answer questions about the planned events for the day.
Speed Dating 10:30am to 12:00 noon at the Bondi Room, Deck 15
An activity for singles and couples. In Speed Dating format, meet as many people in the group as possible. This will be a fast and fun activity for anyone wanting to mingle.
Lunch ($) 12:00 noon to 2:00pm at Luke’s Bar and Grill, Deck 7
Pre-Booking is essential. For the food lovers in the group. Enjoy a taste of Celebrity Chef Luke Mangan’s signature dishes. Being a speciality restaurant there is additional cost for this event based on the options you chose from the menu.
Trivia 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Altitude, Deck 18
The most popular event on last year’s Rainbow Group Holiday. Test your knowledge with Mya Crafone.
Karaoke 4:00pm to 5:00pm at The Blue Room, Deck 7
Be a participant or a spectator at our very own onboard Karaoke. Be entertained by Wanda DParke in between a few Karaoke songs.

Day 3 – Sea Day

Boardgames 10:30am to 12:30pm at the Bondi Room, Deck 15
So You Think You Can Drag 2:00pm to 4:00pm at the Blue Room, Deck 7

Day 4 – Mystery Island – White Night
Information Desk Mystery Island is a tender port.
Pacific Encounter guests will be waiting in the atrium for an opportunity to travel to the island.
There will be no information desk on this day.
Mixology Class($) Pre-Booking is Required. 1 Hour class at the Bonded Store, Deck 6 (minimum number required)

Day 5 – Port Vila – Pride Night

Make-up with the Queens ($) 5:30pm to 7:30pm at the Bondi Room, Deck 15 (numbers are limited)
Join Crystal Heart and Veritee as they transform for the OUTexploring Pride Theme Night.
Prepare your own drag face with their guidance.
WOW your friends tonight with a fabulous new face.

Tonight we party and celebrate pride with our very own theme night.
Group Dinner 7:30pm to 9:00pm at Dragon Lady, Deck 6
Pride Theme Night Party 9:00pm to 11:00pm at Altitude, Deck 16
DJ Fradge is taking control of the music at the nightclub. Dance as we celebrate pride at sea.
Day 6 – Sea Day – Great Gatsby Night

Pool Gathering 10:30am to 11:30am at the Oasis, Deck 14 (non-exclusive venue)

Karaoke 4:00pm to 5:00pm at The Blue Room, Deck 7
Evening Drinks 5:00pm to 6:00pm at The Blue Room, Deck 7 (non-exclusive venue)
Day 7 – Sea Day – Farewell Party

Amazing Race 10:30am to 12:30pm Meet at the Bondi Room 10:15am.
Form a team or join some new friends for a race around the Pacific Encounter, completing a few challenges along the way.
